2014 - The Year of Unique Style

It’ll soon be London Fashion Week and our newsfeed will be filled with bloggers and journalists buzzing with the hottest trends for AW14.  Well I would have been one of those people on Friday when the shows start and my invites to a few things, the press day for the British Plus Size Fashion weekend but alas the weather at the minute is hampering my plans and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.  So I may be resorting to live streaming, there is next season I suppose.

So what is all the fuss about?  Finding out the who’s who of designers and what the latest trend is? Well for me it’s all about the atmosphere and it helps my freelancing work no end but my feeling on the latest trend has become a little jaded.  Trends in my opinion are becoming a little saturated, I’m not saying they aren’t important for styling and ideas filter through to the high street but is anything ever totally original anymore?  Well even if trends are making their way back into our lives time and time again, style is certainly becoming a great mash up with the attitude of anything goes.

2014 is definitely for me, a year of individual style.  Creating your own unique look has never been so trendy and with a host of fellow bloggers showing us how well this can be achieved and also showing off the confidence to go with it.  It’s ok to mix and match and this year is the ultimate year for individuality.

I’m thinking of doing a feature every month on my favourite blogger style and I would love any input or anyone who would like to feature in this and show off your great style.  It would be fab to celebrate eclectic style and ladies that love to show off their confident selves to inspire others.
